Building CommitteeThis committee coordinates with the church staff, including the rector, business manager and/or sextons in regard to all additions, repairs, and necessary improvements for both building and mechanical infrastructure on the Christ Church campus.
Skills Needed: Understanding of the design and construction industries, and the processes and procedures required for addressing these issues as they occur.
Training Required: Professional knowledge and experience within the design, construction and trades professions is beneficial.
Time Commitment: Varies depending on the issue being addressed. If a capital improvement campaign is involved, a substantial increase in time may be required.
Length of Commitment: No limit. Serving members should serve at least through whichever issue the committee is dealing with at the time. It would be beneficial to establish a time frame where committee members would cycle off at various times to insure continuity.
Number of Volunteers: Varies. During major issues the committee can include 5-7 members.
