Emergency Prayer Ministry

Emergency Prayer Ministry
A prayer ministry for emergencies only.  The emergency prayer ministry can only be activated by the clergy.
Skills needed: A love and concern for people, and the willingness to pray for others.
Training Required: None
Time Commitment: The willingness to be called any time of day or night.  (No calls past 9 pm have occurred in the last 9 years)  and be willing to pray twice a day for two weeks for the individual for whom we are praying.  Should you be a captain, it requires calling three to four individuals.
Length of Commitment: As long as desired.  There are "pray - ers" who have been a part of the emergency prayer chain for over 20 years.
Number of Volunteers: Presently we have 9 captains, plus 33 parishioners.  We welcome any who feel called to this ministry.
Chairman: Lois Shockley
Co Chair: Diane DeLong
"The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." James 5:16 ESV
When the emergency goes out, those who are called obediently respond by praying to God for those in           need of our prayers.  We believe that God hears us.
