Children's ChoirsCalling all Children: Sing your way into Heaven on Wednesdays!!
Have you ever noticed how music sparks the memory? How did you learn your A, B, C’S? My guess is that there was a tune attached to it! By joining one of our fine children’s choirs, your child will learn Scripture and God’s character through music. Many “graduated” Christ Church choir members, now in their late twenties, still remember the words to songs they sang while in Minisingers and Mastersingers—words of lasting value. Singing Scripture as a youngster sets it in your heart for all times. So, set aside those Wednesday afternoons for your child to learn God’s word through song—it could make an eternal difference! Mastersingers (grades 3 & up) meet 4:15-5:15 and Minisingers (kindergarten grades, 1 & 2) meet 4:30-5:15 on Wednesday afternoons. “Sibling care” will be available from 4:15-4:30 for those who have a sister or brother in the older choir. Please contact Ruth Berg (422-9963, ruthaberg@gmail.com) for more information.
Children and teens are a vital part of the music program at Christ Church. There are many opportunities available for youth to praise God through song and music making. Whether as a soloist or support singer/player, youth between ages 4 and 18 are invited to grow in their service to God and His church. Through the texts of songs, they are invited to increase their knowledge of Him; through meaningful worship participation opportunities, they are encouraged to offer their talents to Him; through rehearsals and outreach performances, youth enjoy community with one another as they learn lifelong skills in music. Choral opportunities exist throughout the school year, with 4 choirs divided according to age.
