Advent Season at Christ Church

December 3: Calling all Jr. Daughters of the King for caroling on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Please bring one dozen cookies to give as gifts. December 10: The Hospitality Pantry will hold its 11th Annual Christmas Dinner for our hospitality guests on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. We are inviting Christ Church parishioners to join us in volunteering to serve our guests and to provide holiday home-baked desserts such as cookies, brownies, etc., and to assist with various crafts, face painting and nail painting. Parishioners are encouraged to come and sit down with our guests and enjoy a meal with them. For information, please call Tina Honsaker at 859-5062, or Rita Millwater at 534-7042.

December 11: Our beloved choral advent offering, Lessons & Carols, will be presented at both the 8:00 AM and 10:15 AM.

December 11: At 3:00 PM Camerata San Antonio presents An English Christmas, including an imaginative setting of Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol narrated by Dierdre Saravia of Texas Public Radio. Perfect for the whole family!

December 14: Old Fashioned Parish Christmas Dinner Wednesday, December 14 at 6:00 PM in the Parish Hall. We’ll be serving a turkey and trimmings dinner for one and all with Christmas music and camaraderie for all ages! Make reservations by calling church office, 736-3132. Suggested donation: $5 per person or maximum of $20 per family. To volunteer or for more information, contact Betty Venson at 413-4575.

December 15: The Annual SAMM Christmas Dinner, hosted by the 3-5 graders, and aided by the Youth of Christ Church.  All are welcome to honor SAMM families who would not have a gift filled Christmas without this outreach event.

 December 24: Christmas Eve Services at 5:00 pm, 8:00 pm, and 10:30 pm.

December 25: Christmas Day Service at 10:15 am only.
