What to Expect on Sunday Mornings

We understand that it is not easy to visit a new church and we will make your visit warm and welcoming.

People come in various kinds of dress, some in jeans and some in coats and ties. There is no dress code or expectation.

Parking can be a little tricky on Sundays, but there are several reserved parking places for "guests" in the upper part of the parking lot off Belknap Street. Those are for you! If they are already taken it means that other visitors have beat you to them. Feel free to park anywhere, including in the Jewish Temple Beth El parking lot.

A greeter will warmly greet you, provide you with a name tag, and answer any questions you might have for him or her.

An usher will welcome you and give you a service program when you enter the church. On the inside of the program is the form for the service itself, including music, and instructions on when to sit and when to kneel.
You will not need anything else to follow the service.

A collection will be taken, but visitors should not feel compelled to contribute as the offering plate is passed. We are just glad you have come!

All Christians who wish to meet Jesus Christ and renew their relationship with him are welcome to receive Holy Communion. You will come up when the usher prompts you to. Once you are at the communion rail, either kneeling or standing, cross your hands in front of you so that the minister can put into your hands a piece of bread. Another minister will come with a cup of wine. You can either dip the bread into the wine, or eat the bread and take a sip of wine.

We hope and pray that you will sense the presence of the Lord in our church.
