Mexico mission efforts have connected us with El Buen Pastor, an Episcopal Church from the Northern Diocese of Mexico in Piedras Negras, across the border from Eagle Pass, Texas. Because it is relatively close to San Antonio, we are working toward a sister church relationship emphasizing reciprocity. During Spring Break of 2002, approximately 45 people from our church spent a weekend painting, building and worshiping with this parish.

How to participate:There are no limits on the number of people who may participate. Whole families take this trip as an opportunity to initiate themselves into a first-experience mission trip. This trip is for families, individuals, old and young and develops our relationship with fellow Episcopalians living along the border in Mexico. It also allows persons interested in Mission work to have this experience in a relatively safe environment, close to home, and is often considered a first step in mission work.
