Dr. Owen Duggan

Owen has been music minister at Christ Church since 1998. He holds degrees in music from McGill University, the University of North Texas and the University of Texas at Austin. Before coming to San Antonio he served as music director of the Academy of Music in Chilliwack, British Columbia for four years.

As a church musician he has served at St. Martin's Episcopal, Houston; St. Barnabas Episcopal, Denton; St. James Episcopal, Florence, Italy; and St. Andrew's United in Montreal. Active as a vocal performer and teacher, Owen is on the faculty at San Antonio College. He has been married to Gretchen Comuzzi Duggan since 1994 and they have son, Donald. Owen brings versatility and dynamicism to his position as choral director and worship leader and is supportive of diversity in worship styles.
