Music Ministry

Music at Christ Church is central to our parish history and identity as Christ followers and worshippers. Following the biblical model, we use our talents and resources to provide a musically relevant context in which to praise and pray to God in song. Our parish life is also enhanced by opportunities to attend and participate in special music and fellowship events.

Our children’s choirs provide the joy of music and Christian learning to ages 3 and up. The adult chancel choir helps lead worship at the 8:30 Sunday and seasonal services as well as special services such as evensongs, weddings, memorial services and an annual lessons & carols. The epiphany choir helps lead worship using contemporary styles at the 11:00 Sunday service. The choirs often provide music at special parish gatherings and have sung at special services and events around the city.

Friends of Music is open to all in an effort to support the following endeavors: scholarships for young musicians, the annual boar’s head charity dinner, additional involvement of professional musicians in worship, music studios for private study, the artists-in-residence program, the annual All Saints masterworks concert, and the visiting artist series where concerts of sacred music by local and national artists are offered to the parish and general public.
