Greeters

Greeters welcome all who come to worship on Sunday morning, ready with a smile and a desire to assist in any way needed.  Greeters are located at the front of the church and near the gazebo, and must arrive at least 15-20 minutes prior to the service.  Greeters help members find their name tags on the tag stand.  Any visitor is greeted warmly, and provided with a written name tag by the greeter.   The greeter will also obtain contact information from the visitor so the Rector may give them a call later in the afternoon, and send a letter of welcome on Monday. 

 

Skills Needed: A friendly smile, a loving heart, and a willingness to reach out to all who enter our doors

 

Training Required: A brief introduction from Mary Ellen Archer. 

 

Time Commitment: Preferably once a month, but as often (seldom) as you would like to serve.

 

Length of Commitment: One year or longer

 

Number of Volunteers: We currently have a vivacious group of more than 50 greeters!  The fellowship during this 20 minute window of time is vibrant!  Join us.
