Thunderbird Apartments

To establish an ongoing ministry and fellowship with our fellow neighbors who reside in the Thunderbird Apartments, a seventy unit subsidized housing complex across the street from Christ Church.  There are many possibilities for involvement.  They would include a willingness to lead a Bible Study, Support Group, giving financial advice, or swimming lessons in the apartment pool.  Other areas of ministry could be helping with holiday meal planning, job counseling, or assisting with crafts at parties.  There is also the opportunity to commit to regular prayer for these residents.

 

Skills Needed: Enjoy interacting with people, enjoy preparing gifts of food for our neighbors, or sending messages of God's Word to them; possibly beautifying the outdoor grounds, or teaching both children and adults who live there.

 

Training Required: A brief meeting to learn about demographics and needs of the Thunderbird Apartments.

 

Time Commitment: Volunteer opportunities vary.  Once a week to occasional.  We would love to hear of your interest in this area!

 

Length of Commitment: 1 year, or more

 

Number of Volunteers: 4-6 currently, more needed
