EFM - Education For Ministry, is coming this Fall on Wednesday Nights at Christ Church. We welcome you to join us! EFM was developed at the School of Theology of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Education for Ministry is a four year study and group reflection to support formation for ministry in daily life through the development of knowledge, attitude, skill, and identity as Christians. Year One focuses on the Old Testament, Year Two on the New Testament, Year Three on Church History, and Year Four on Theology. The class will meet from 5:30 – 8:00 PM each Wednesday with breaks for holidays and summer. Dinner will be part of our time together. There is a charge of $300 per year for the course which includes all texts, etc. Partial scholarships are available. A Diploma of Completion from the School of Theology of the University of the South is rewarded to those who finish the course. Class will be led by Liza Philpy, an experienced and trained EFM Mentor and graduate of the Seminary of the Southwest with a Masters of Arts in Pastoral Ministry. Halleta Heinrich, a graduate of EFM, will assist Liza with the class. Please contact Liza Philpy at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone her at (432)528-9804 with questions or if you would like to sign up for the course.
