Wreaths Across America - Purchase Wreaths

To honor our Veterans, Christ Church would like to sponsor 250 wreaths to be placed on veterans’ grave sites at Fort Sam Houston. Each wreath costs $17.00. The easiest way to purchase wreaths is to use this link. You may also pay by check, made out to CEC with “wreaths” in the memo. Please give/send checks to Karen Von Der Bruegge at the church office. Deadline for checks is Nov 21. If you want to designate a specific grave site and/or participate in the laying of wreaths on Saturday, December 13, please let Karen know. Karenv@cecsa.org.

Giving Trees

Help us ensure Madison & Maverick Elementary students have gifts under their Christmas Trees! Choose a tag from one of the trees by the Parish Hall. Families have requested gifts in $25 and $50 categories and siblings are included. Please stay within the budget limits of $25 or $50 gifts. Return unwrapped gifts to the trees by the Parish Hall. The parents love to wrap their gifts. Place the gifts in a reusable shopping bag with handles and staple the tag securely to the outside of the bag. Contributions of wrapping paper, bows, and tape are also welcome. Gifts are due by Monday, December 1. Questions? Contact Pam Kittrell at pamkittrell@yahoo.com or  210-602-5302.

Parents Shoppe

Let’s enable students to choose gifts for their parents! We are collecting NEW items for a “Parent Shoppe” at both Madison and Maverick Elementary schools; make sure to bring gifts for men and women! All donated items are due at the church by Monday, December 1.

Christmas Extravaganza at Madison & Maverick Elementary Schools

Want to help parents wrap their children’s gifts and spread holiday cheer? Volunteers are needed to pull-off this spectacular Christmas event at each Elementary school—Madison on Monday, December 8 from 3:30 – 7 p.m. and Maverick on Wednesday, December 10 from 3:30 – 7 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help with the event and those with trucks and SUVs are needed to help with transport.
